red.katt.wreck.chords. is a independent record label based out of the midwestern United States. Located just north of the Ohio river about a mile away from the famous King Records studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, near the juncture of three disparate states, Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio, red.katt.wreck.chords. likewise features multiple disparate styles and moods across the releases put out by it’s artists.

The label is largely focused on techno, house, dub, electro, reggae, industrial, dubstep, glitch, drone and ambient work, along with an assortment of other experimental, hip hop and other styles produced by midwestern and Cincinnati area independent artists. Albums are released as digital works of art initially, with physical CD’s and additional promotional items produced after digital release.

Initially created as an outlet for local electronic music artist Nathaniel David Lane, AKA redkattseven, to self release his own albums without the expectations, burdens or restrictions of labels, Lane quickly realized the potential service he might be able to offer other beginning artists to get their music out to the world.

Beginning in 2021, red.katt.wreck.chords. began to release albums by other Cincinnati area artists, in addition to redkattsevens work.
